Delete your data
Last updated
You can permanently delete your DriveBudget account and every vehicle, expense and setting attached to it. This page describes both ways to do it: in the app, and without it.
Option 1: delete it yourself, in the app
This is instant and works without contacting us.
- Open DriveBudget and sign in.
- Go to Settings.
- Scroll to Delete account and confirm.
Your account, and every vehicle, expense, cost profile and score attached to it, is permanently deleted at that moment. There is no recovery period and no backup copy kept afterward.
Option 2: request deletion without the app
If you no longer have the app installed, or cannot sign in, email support@drivebudget.app from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm your identity, delete the account, and reply once it is done. We aim to complete every request within 30 days, and typically much sooner.
What gets deleted
| Data | What happens |
|---|---|
| Account and profile (email, sign-in identifiers, name) | Permanently deleted |
| Vehicles and cost profiles | Permanently deleted |
| Expenses and notes | Permanently deleted |
| Your Car Financial Score and projections | Permanently deleted |
| Feature requests you submitted | Permanently deleted |
| Subscription status record | Permanently deleted from our systems. Your subscription itself is separate — see below. |
Your subscription is separate
Deleting your DriveBudget account does not cancel an active subscription, because billing is handled entirely by Apple or Google, not by us. If you also want to stop being charged, cancel your subscription in your Apple ID or Google Account settings before or after deleting your account.
See our full Privacy Policy for more detail on what we collect and why.
